A man who allegedly kidnapped another individual was arrested early Monday, Mexicali police said.

The suspect was identified as Jose Luis, 30.

According to the authorities the incident took place early Monday by Anahuac Boulevard, south of the Civic Center.

The incident was notified to the police by a witness.

The police were able to find and arrest the suspect while driving a vehicle.

No additional details about the arrest operation were provided.

The victim was released after the suspect’s arrest. The victim had few injuries caused by the suspect and his accomplices who were not apprehended.
