Four alleged members of a criminal band dedicated to rob stores were apprehended Monday evening after the driver of the vehicle they were cruising on missed a stop sign.
According to media reports the arrest took place at 10 p.m. in the intersection of Plan de Ayutla Avenue and Rio Mocorito Street in Colonia Santa Rosalía neighborhood.
The suspects were traveling on a Hyundai Elantra.
After stopping the driver the suspects left the vehicle and turned aggressive towards the officers.
The suspects were inspected and the police found several knives and an imitation gun.
The individuals were identified as Luis Humberto, 19, Cesar Augusto, 22, Carlos Aurelio, 21, and Angel Gabriel, 17. The suspects were allegedly involved in eight convenience stores.
