A man and a woman were arrested by state police officers while allegedly transporting three undocumented immigrants, the state Department of Security said.
The agency said the incident took place in the Ejido Nezahualcóyotl rural town.
The driver, who was identified as Gama Eduardo, 44, of the state of Michoacán, Mexico, was driving a gold 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Police agents stopped the driver and determined the three passengers were undocumented immigrants.
