An American citizen was killed by a driver Saturday evening in the Los Algodones rural town.

According to police reports the 74-year-old US citizen died outside Bar Hawaii.

The incident was first notified to the police at 6:30 p.m.

Paramedics declared the man’s dead.

The victim was identified as James David Shultz.

According to the police the suspect driver was driving a gray 2005 BMW X5.

The vehicle was located moments later by Valle Imperial Avenue with damages consistent with the accident.

The vehicle was seized by state authorities.
