A man who was in alleged possession of a loaded gun was arrested by state police officers.

The state Attorney General’s office said the suspect was apprehended in Rio Mezcalapa Avenue and Hacienda del Colorado Street in the neighborhood of Fraccionamiento Villas del Colorado.

The suspect was identified as Jose Luis, 33.

According to the authorities, state police officers were patrolling the area when they observed the suspect.

The individual allegedly appeared to be nervous.

Upon approaching then suspect agents stopped and inspected the individual.

Jose Luis was in alleged possession of a 9 mm gun, a magazine and eleven rounds of ammunition.

Also the suspect allegedly had close to a pound of marijuana.

The individual, along with the gun and the drugs were turned over to the Mexican Attorney General’s office.
