A bank customer was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon after withdrawing about $700 from a bank automated teller machine in a shopping mall.

La Crónica newspaper reported that the incident was notified to the police at 2:13 p.m. Tuesday outside the Banorte branch in Plaza La Gran Vía.

According to the report, several armed men approached the victim and demanded 14,000 peso and the victim’s smartphone.

The suspects fled in a blue Scion vehicle. The police unsuccessfully searched for the suspects.
