A bank customer was robbed of over half a million pesos of a political party in a shopping mall Tuesday, according to media reports.

La Voz newspaper reported that the incident took place at 5:27 p.m. in La Gran Via shopping mall.

The victim, who was identified as Carlos, 25, told the police the suspects took the cash as well as the purses of two women.

The victim told the police the suspects, who were dressed in dark clothes, arrived in a brown sedan.

The suspects brandished firearms and demanded the cash from the man.

The money was from the Citizens Movement Party. Although one of the purses was located thanks to the GPS coordinates of the victim’s smartphone, no arrests were reported.
