A woman was robbed Friday afternoon just outside a bank branch, according to media reports.

The incident took place at 3 p.m. in the BBVA Bancomer Branch located in the intersection of Michoacán Avenue and Tuxtla Gutiérrez Street in the Colonia Baja California neighborhood.

The female victim told the police that after leaving the bank and entering her gray Jeep Cherokee a man approached her and brandished a firearm.

The suspect allegedly shot the firearm once and broke the driver’s window.

The suspect then took the victim’s money — 60,000 pesos or about $3,000.

The suspect fled in a brown Toyota Camry. Police agents were unable to find the suspect.
