The second bighorn sheep was recently born in Mexicali City Zoo.

Secretary of state Department of Environment and Sustainable Development Monica Vega visited the zoo in order to meet the newborn sheep along with Director José Giovanni López.

The bighorn sheep was once declared as a species under threat of extinction, but the authorities had managed to protect the Baja California endemic animal.

This is the second bighorn sheep born in City Zoo, with the first one born a month ago. The authorities expect more bighorn sheep born in the future.
