Mexicali Catholic Bishop Jose Isidro Guerrero was reported by the Diocese under serious conditions.
Diocese Vicar General Arnoldo Rascón released a letter that says although Bishop Guerrero has responded positively to the treatment his condition is considered serious.
Doctors told the Diocese the bishop has seen a good response in terms of oxygen saturation.
The Vicar General, along with Tijuana Bishop Francisco Moreno visited the hospital where Bishop Guerrero has been for the last weeks.
After briefly improving his health the Bishop was connected once again to a ventilator.
Both the Vicar General and Tijuana’s Bishop called Catholics to pray for Bishop Guerrero’s health. Rascón released Tuesday a letter dated back to Jan. 22 from the Bishop in which Guerrero thanked all those who had prayed for his health.
