The reopening of the US border to Mexican residents is expected to impact Mexicali restaurants, said Chamber President Raul Vazquez.
Eatery owners expect that the Nov. 8 reopening will prompt a significant decline of consumers.
“We will see how much,” Vazquez said. “This is something we had not lived with.” However, the Restaurant Chamber President said the pandemic year has been an opportunity to show and promote local gastronomy and that is expected to help mitigate the potential impact.
