The body of an individual was found burned Sunday morning in the Colonia Independencia area.
According to media reports the corpse was reported at 8:10 a.m. in Rio Quelite Street and Alejandro Cital de Mendoza Street.
The victim was originally reported as a homeless man who had most of his body burned.
No other details were immediately provided.
In a separate case, the body of another man was found dead with blood stains in the head in a rural area south of Mexicali.
The corpse was located at 10:05 a.m. close to the Agrobaja Fairgrounds in the Ejido Choropo rural area.
The body was found about two-thirds of a mile from the San Felipe Highway.
The victim was described as a man in his mid-30s, white skin, dressed on a black and gray jacket, blue denim jeans and black tennis shoes. Detectives found signs of tires in the area, which has made the authorities think the body was left at the scene in a vehicle.
