A man who was sought in California was arrested by state police officers, the state Attorney General’s office said.

The suspect, who was identified as Sergio Arturo, 41, became a fugitive on Aug. 13 for probation violation.

The Pomona man was originally arrested for a gun crime.

The California Highway Patrol requested help from the Baja California authorities in order to find and arrest the suspect.

The police found the suspect in Callejón Zorrilla Street and Melgar Street, close to the West Port of Entry. The suspect was turned to the National Immigration Institute and deported to the US.
