A man who was sought for carjacking was arrested after a chase that ended in rural Mexicali.
According to media reports the police arrested Everardo, aka Tetas, in Ejido Guanajuato rural town.
The police first attempted to stop the suspect in the Valle de Puebla neighborhood in southeastern Mexicali.
The suspect, who was driving a white Nissan Altima, missed from stopping. A chase started immediately.
After being stopped, the suspect unsuccessfully attempted to flee on foot.
The suspect was allegedly involved in a January 2020 carjacking case that occurred in a cemetery located by the Airport Highway. Two individuals presumably robbed the victim of 2,500 pesos, bank cards, a smartphone and the keys of a 2017 Nissan Frontier.
