A concert held Sunday evening in Plaza Calafia in Mexicali’s Civic Center was held without any Covid-19 protocols, according to media reports.

Media outlets reported that the Cristian Nodal concert asked attendees no face mask and no one had to submit a vaccination card.

Also, attendants did not follow social distancing.

Mexicali is in the top of the municipalities with the highest number of Coronavirus cases.

The bull ring showed half capacity, according to pictures taken in the venue.

Mexicali Mayor Norma Bustamante said the concert was allowed depending on restrictions to avoid the spread of the virus. The Mexican epidemiological light system has kept Baja California as the only state in the orange tier.
