A woman who apparently was pregnant was found dead Monday morning.
Mexicali police said the body was found at 9 a.m. in the Colonia Hacienda Mexicali area.
A report was made at the emergency center regarding a woman who was found dead and wrapped in a blue blanket inside an irrigation canal.
Authorities believe the woman was murdered as foul play was found in the corpse.
The woman was dressed on a blue denim jeans and black blouse.
