Mexicali consumers saw a slight increase of domestic gas prices Sunday after international prices also increased due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Three provider companies notified customers through their websites the 45 kilogram cylinder observed an increase of 14 pesos or about $0.70 increase.

The price went to 972 pesos or close to $49 from the 958 pesos price for the week of Feb. 20-26.

The new price stands until Saturday.

Gas Silza, Baja Gas & Oil and Rivera Gas have all the same price.

Similar to other items the Mexican government sets price limits. Cities like Tecate and San Quintín report the highest domestic gas prices in Baja California.
