Dozens of members of the State Education Workers Union held a demonstration and took the offices of the Department of Education Wednesday in order to demand respect to court rulings in favor of teachers and the payment of interim teachers.

The demonstration was led by Union Secretary General Héctor Lara Ochoa.

Teachers took the offices of the Undersecretariat of Basic Education in downtown Mexicali. Secretary General Lara Ochoa met Undersecretary of Basic Education Dulce María Jáuregui to discuss the issues brought by the union.
