A 69-year-old man died Tuesday after attempting to stop the carjacking of his vehicle.

According to media reports, the incident was first reported to the authorities at 4:23 p.m. in the Colonia Santa Lucía neighborhood.

The police found the victim at the scene with an injury in the left leg.

The victim told police officers three men arrived in his home and forced him to enter his own white 1996 Honda Accord.

The suspects then took the victim to another site where the man attempted to stop the individuals. However, the driver ran over the victim. The victim was transported to the General Hospital where he succumbed to the injuries.
