Mexico’s Federal Electricity Commission has notified customers it will go paperless beginning next month.

In April’s bills the agency has included notifications that warn customers about the decision.

According to the agency the measure is based on efforts to help the environment.

Customers have been asked to download the agency’s app in order to get their monthly bills.

However, dozens of customer have complained about the app due to several issues — especially the inability to make payments from outside of Mexico. Over 128,000 customers have rated the app in Play Store with an average 2.9 rating. Most customers have rated the app with ones and fives.
