The finding of missing people has considerably increased this year, according to state reports.
The state of Baja California said so far this year the authorities had found 95 people reported missing — an increase of 850 percent compared to last year.
Of those people found 76 have been located dead.
Most of those cadavers have been found by collectives and associations of missing people composed mostly by anguished mothers.
Undersecretary of Institutional Liaison Rebecca Vega said this year the agency has received 346 complaints of missing people.
The state launched a special unit along with other law enforcement agencies and 16 collectives to find those reported missing.
With state and federal funds the unit has invested $3.5 million in equipment.
