State officials launched days ago the brand new foster families program of Baja California.
Governor Marina Avila compared foster families with angels who can give to-be-adopted children the love and care they need while changing their lives.
At the same time the program seeks to get rid of red tape to families who are seeking to adopt children.
Family Development Agency Chairwoman Mavis Olmeda said foster families will first get certified to make sure proper care is provided to children. State Adoptions Director Luis Peña recalled that earlier this week the state published the requirements needed by foster families for temporary adoption.
