After being accused of harassment by female students a Mexicali high school teacher has been dismissed.

The teacher was working in the Mexicali I campus of the Colegio de Bachilleres High School System, or Cobach in Spanish acronym.

Governor Marina Avila said this kind of behavior will not be tolerated.

The governor said the state had enough evidence to fire the teacher.

Cobach students held a demonstration during last week’s International Women Day to report sexual harassment from teachers.

Gov. Avila said the administration is against any harassment cases that affect women. Also last week female students of the federal CBTIS 21 high school also denounced a teacher for harassment. The school’s administration said the incident was under investigation.
