A man who was sought for the May 4 murder of another man in rural Mexicali was arrested by state police officers.
The state Attorney General’s office said the suspect was identified as Heriberto, no age reported.
The individual was allegedly involved in the murder of José Fernando Velázquez Morales, aka Paisano, 32.
The victim was transported to the town’s Red Cross clinic where he succumbed to the injuries.
According to the authorities, the victim had an argument with the suspect in Guadalupe Victoria rural town.
Suddenly, the suspect injured the victim with a knife in the chest. The suspect has been booked in Mexicali Prison.
