A man who has been accused of the Jan. 2020 murder of another individual was indicted by a state judge, the Attorney General’s office said.

According to the authorities the suspect was identified as Raul Emilio, no age reported.

The suspect was allegedly involved in the murder of Jesus Américo Amarán Fonseca in Colonia Ampliación Nacionalista neighborhood.

The authorities said on Jan. 3, 2020, the suspect presumably arrived at the victim’s residence and shot a gun several times.

The victim attempted to flee in his vehicle, but crashed in a sports park.

The suspect then approached the victim and shot him to death.

The judge decided to keep the suspect in prison for the remainder of trial and provided prosecutors two months to close the investigation.
