A man who has been accused of murder was indicted by a state judge, the Attorney General’s office said.

The suspect was identified as Eduardo Israel, 26.

The suspect was indicted for the Sept. 17 murder of Jesus Itzair Serena Ferrer.

The agency said the victim was outside his Colonia Nacionalista neighborhood home when the suspect allegedly arrived and shot at the victim several times with a 9 mm handgun.

The victim succumbed to the shot injuries.

State police officers arrested the suspect while fleeing from the scene by Colonia San Jacinto neighborhood on a white and red Honda motorcycle.

The suspect was allegedly found with the gun used in the murder, the agency said. The judge decided to keep the suspect in prison during trial and gave prosecutors two months to close the investigation.
