Mexican customs had apparently blocked the importation of supplies for immigrants, an activist denounced.

Gonzalo Pacheco, of the Group of Help for Mexicali Immigrants, or GAMMAC in Spanish acronym, asked the Family Development Agency help introduce supplies as neither the state nor the federal government had provided support to immigrants.

Pacheco added that nonprofit organizations had become the helping hand of public agencies. According to the activist a lot of help has come from the US, but customs has stopped supplies importation for unknown reasons.
