The insecurity feeling among Mexicali residents declined to 72.9 percent during September, according to a survey report released by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography.

Back in June the perception of insecurity was 78.1 percent, the report says.

However, in September of last year only 59.7 percent of adult residents felt insecure.

In Tijuana, the city that reports multiple homicides every day, insecurity sensation also slightly declined to 78.1 percent from 79.5 percent. The Mexican agency said last month residents reported that 65.5 percent felt insecure — the lowest percentage in nine years.
