A man who was reportedly kidnapped last week was found dead next to a San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora highway, according to media reports.
La Voz newspaper reported that José Efrén Gama Gomez was located dead Thursday.
The victim was kidnapped the afternoon of Friday, Dec. 3 in Mexicali.
On Thursday morning law enforcement authorities reported the corpse was found by the Golfo Highway. The victim had several gunshot wounds and accompanied by a piece of paper that included a message about the man’s dead.
