According to a state official the lack of funds had delayed the rehabilitation of Juarez Street that is expected to become the entrance to the new remodeled downtown area.

State Secretary of Infrastructure Karen Postlethwaite said the agency was expected to finish part of the project recently.

However, the state Department of the Treasury decided to call agencies to cancel or refinance contracts. The state plans to remodel the Abasolo Highway and construct a new bridge in the Lázaro Cárdenas Boulevard that are considered a priority.
