Mexicali residents had reportedly waited for hours in order to obtain a Covid-19 vaccination certificate that was unavailable in an agency website.

La Crónica newspaper reported that hundreds of vaccinated residents had to wait for hours outside the Department of Wellbeing in order to get their documents corrected.

Laura Gómez told the newspaper that Mexican officials just told residents no forms were available for the process.

The authorities were going to provide forms at 8 a.m., but the agency kept silent, resident Eva Manzo told the newspaper.

Some residents started waiting in line since 4 a.m. in order to get their certificates corrected or produced as the platform was unable to provide a document through its website. Some of those requesting their certificates said the document is needed to cross the border next month after the US lifts the pandemic restrictions.
