A man who apparently caused injuries to his cousin in a public healthcare center located in rural Mexicali was arrested for attempted murder.
Mexicali police said the suspect was identified as Carlos Francisco, 20.
The incident was reported Thursday at 1:53 p.m.
Emergency center dispatchers notified the police about an injured 20-year-old man who was taken to the healthcare center in Colonia Carranza town.
Upon arrival, the victim’s mother told the police her nephew injured his son with a knife.
According to the witness the suspect arrived and assaulted the victim in the home’s yard.
The suspect was described as a man who was dressed on a black shirt, gray sports pants and black tennis shoes.
The suspect was found and arrested in Ejido Marítimo rural town allegedly possessing a knife.
The suspect was arrested and transported to the Guadalupe Victoria town substation for attempted homicide.
