A man who allegedly kept a 64-year-old woman against her will during a robbery was arrested by Mexicali police.
The agency said the suspect was identified as Ramón, who is also known as Juan Eduardo, 31.
The authorities said the incident occurred at 1622 Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez Avenue in the fraccionamiento Vista Hermosa area.
A report was made at the emergency center regarding the incident. The police did not disclose the time and date.
Upon arrival the police found the victim on the street with hands and feet tied with tape.
According to the police the victim told officers that while inside her home a knock in the window was heard.
Suddenly, the victim observed the suspect who had a firearm in the hands.
The suspect allegedly threatened and tied the victim.
The authorities said the suspect started taking items in the victim’s sand colored 2015 Lexus with California plates.
According to the victim the suspect allegedly slapped her after asking him not to injure the woman.
The victim was able to release herself and call the police.
Officers arrived at the scene and found the suspect inside the residence. The suspect was transported to the police headquarters.
