A 39 year old man was arrested Friday evening after allegedly taking part in a convenience store robbery, Mexicali police said.

The authorities said the suspect was identified as Lorenzo Antonio.

The police said a robbery was reported at 9:30 a.m. in a store located in the corner of Abades Avenue and Ninth Street.

An employee told the police the suspect arrived in the store and showed a gun.

The suspect took 2,300 pesos or about $115.

The suspect and a man who was waiting outside the store during the robbery fled on a bicycle.

The police was able to arrest only one of the suspects. The authorities were unable to neither find the gun nor the cash.
