A rural Mexicali resident was found dead Monday in his home.

According to media reports the incident took place at 6 a.m. in Guadalupe Victoria rural town.

The report says three individuals arrived in the residence of the victim, who was identified by the nickname of Chapo.

Witnesses told the police the suspects punched the victim to death and fled with several electronic devices and a hammer that was apparently used in the murder.

Neighbors arrived at the scene and found Bernardino Doe, 39, with several injuries and blood stains.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and declared the victim’s death. The suspects were not identified as all three were using face masks.
