A man who was accused of killing his three-month-old baby son was indicted by a state judge for homicide.
The suspect was identified as Julio Alberto, 25.
Mexicali police officers arrived Friday morning at a home located by Cascada Salto Avenue in the Arcos de Puebla area.
The baby’s parents told the police the minor was found dead in his bedroom.
The baby’s body was transported to the State Coroner’s office where an autopsy determined the victim died of head trauma.
The judge decided to keep the suspect in prison during trial and gave prosecutors two months to close the investigation. The baby’s 16-year-old mother was turned to the Investigation Unit of Teenager Crime.
