A man who was accused of a sexual abuse attempt was sentenced by a state judge to six years and eight months in prison.

The state Attorney General’s office said Leonardo Castro Ramos was previously found guilty of the April 2019.

According to the authorities the individual offered the victim to move a couch from a residence located in Colonia Esperanza neighborhood.

Suddenly, the suspect pushed the victim to a bed and tried to rape her.

However, the victim yelled for help.

A neighbor arrived at the scene and was able to frustrate the rape.

Castro Ramos reached an agreement with prosecutors, the agency said.
