While holding a funeral in southern Mexicali a man was shot dead and a woman got injured, according to media reports.
The incident took place Sunday evening in the Fraccionamiento Portales 3 area.
The authorities received a report regarding a shooting in the area.
Upon arrival, police officers observed two injured people.
The fatal victim — a 20-year-old man died in the Red Cross clinic hours after the assault.
The woman, whose age was not reported, was transported to a hospital.
