A man who allegedly killed another man was arrested by the Police in rural Mexicali, the authorities said.
In a report, the police said the incident was notified to the authorities at 8:10 p.m. Saturday on a dirt road between Ejido Nayarit and Ejido Delta rural towns.
The suspect was identified as Alejandro Agustín, 61, of Mexicali.
A reporting party told the police the injured man, who was identified as Jesús, 38, was going to be transported to a fire station, but the victim had already died.
The victim had an injury in the chest.
The police found the suspect around 9:40 p.m. while attempting to hide in a bush.
The police said the suspect was found in alleged possession of a Springfield Armory .45 caliber rifle. The police also seized a white 1991 Ford F150 with California plates.
