A man was found dead with shotgun wounds Wednesday afternoon in eastern Mexicali, according to media reports.

The incident was notified to the authorities at 4:29 p.m. in Caracoles Street and Ahuastepec Street in the Fraccionamiento Valle de Puebla area — one of the most dangerous in the city.

The victim was found inside a gray 2002 GMC Yukon.

Red Cross paramedics arrived at the scene to transport the injured man, but declared the victims’ death.

The victim was described as a man in his mid-30s who was dressed in a red polo shirt, blue denim jeans and had tattoos in his arms.

Witnesses told the police the suspects fled on a white Honda Accord.

At the scene, the police found 14 bullet casings.

CASE TWO

Another homicide case was reported Wednesday evening south of the Civic Center.

The incident was reported to the police at 6:24 p.m. in the División del Norte area.

The police found the victim in the front yard of a residence located next to a kindergarten in the intersection of Ciudad Camargo Avenue and Palomas Oeste Street.

The victim, who was in his mid-50s, had several shotgun injuries in the chest.

Paramedics unsuccessfully attempted to keep the man alive. Neighbors told the police the suspect fled on a bicycle.
