A man was shot to death Tuesday evening in a rural town, according to media reports.

La Voz newspaper said that the incident was reported to the authorities at 6:20 p.m. in a residence located in the Colonia Del Valle area in Los Algodones rural town.

According to the report, police agents were flagged by a person who notified that a man was injured in a residence located in Valle Imperial Street and Sierra Coronado Street.

Upon arrival, the police found the injured man. Paramedics who were deployed to the scene declared the man deceased.

Detectives found at the scene several .223 caliber bullet casings. The victim was described as a 35-year-old man who was dressed in a blue shirt, blue denim jeans and black tennis shoes.
