Three men were sentenced by a state judge to 17 years in prison for the 2016 murder of a teenager.

The state Attorney General’s office said the convicted men were identified as Jose Santiago Olivas Ibarra, 48, aka Chago, Jose Francisco Medina Espinoza, 36, aka Chamuca, and Miguel Angel Serrano Ayon, 23, aka Mike.

The individuals’ defense attorney reached an agreement with prosecutors in the murder of Blanca Gissel Herrera Parra, 19.

The authorities said the individuals arrived in a residence located in Durango Avenue of Colonias Nuevas rural town, next to the Sonoran border.

The agency said the convicted men tied the victim by the hands and feet and transported her to Ejido Plan de Ayala rural area.

The woman died of suffocation with a plastic bag. The corpse was buried in area. The individuals then fled on a vehicle.
