Aguilas de Mexicali baseball club announced relief pitcher Jesús Cruz returned to the MLB with the Atlanta Braves.

The club said in a prepared statement the pitcher did a great job Monday during the team’s defeat 2-6 against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Previously, Cruz, of San Luis Potosí, Mexico, first joined the Gwinnett Braves with the AAA League. The relief pitcher had an EAR record of 2.84 in eleven games.

In Monday’s game at Chase Field Cruz pitched in the sixth inning. The pitcher faced four batters, with one strikeout.

Cruz first debuted in the MLB in Aug. 2021 with the St. Louis Cardinals.
