Baja California officials recently met with Mexican Consulate authorities in order to discuss negotiations to vaccinate minors 5 and older in the US.

State Secretary of Public Health Adrian Medina met last week with Consul Tarcisio Navarrete in order to seek vaccination of minors with outstanding visas in US soil.

Sec. Medina said although minors do not get seriously sick children can spread the Coronavirus.

A similar program of binational vaccination was recently started in the Tijuana-San Diego region.

Many parents had taken their children and themselves to Imperial Valley clinics to get a booster or a shot for their kids.

The Secretary and the Consul discussed vaccination of deported immigrants to have a safe return to Baja California. So far, the state has only vaccinated adults and teenagers.
