The fifteenth Mexicali police officer has died of the Coronavirus of 2019, the agency said.

Xóchitl Rosalinda Armenta Zárate, 52, who was fully vaccinated with Pfizer doses, died Thursday morning in a hospital of the Mexican Institute of Social Security.

The agent, who was hired on May 2014, received her first vaccine back in April and the second one the next month.

The police said Officer Armenta Zárate was diagnosed with the Coronavirus on Oct. 12.

According to the authorities the agent took vacations four days earlier.

Armenta Zárate was hospitalized on Oct. 19 under serious conditions.

The agent’s brother reported the death. Agent Armenta Zárate was assigned to the arrest area of the substation located in Guadalupe Victoria rural town.
