A Mexicali nonprofit organization announced an update of its eastern park that is in construction.

The organization Todos Somos Mexicali, or TSM in Spanish, also announced the launching of a website to receive donations from residents and companies.

Businessman and TSM President Guillermo Galvan announced the construction of a wall that will include the names of those donors who had provided funds to build a new 35,000 square meter park.

TSM Fundraising Coordinator Mario Kuljacha said residents will be able to finance the project through donations of about $5.

The new park will include walking and jogging areas, bicycle paths, parking for 140 vehicles, gas fueled grills and green energy infrastructure.

The nonprofit plans to charge park users for the rent of bicycles, parking spaces, and barbecue canopies. The organization plans to build a park per year.
