A woman got minor injuries after an impressive accident took place early Thursday in Colón Ave.

Mexicali Police said the incident took place about 5 a.m. in Colón Ave. and Xavier Villaurrutia Street in Colonia Alamitos neighborhood.

The authorities said the driver of a white 2017 Volkswagen Vento with Mexico City plates, who was identified as América Guadalupe Rojo Yucupicio, 23, was driving in the wrong way by Colón Ave.

The driver’s passenger, who was identified as Fabiola Yucupicio Morales, 36, was transported to a clinic for evaluation.

In a video broadcasted by Channel 66 on its Facebook page at least one can of beer was seen in the Volkswagen passenger side.

The Vento impacted a burgundy 2015 Chevrolet Colorado.

Both vehicles were removed by a tow company.
