City of Mexicali authorities expect to interview four employees in a probe of an RFP for the organization of concerts planned for the upcoming local fair.

City Comptroller Hector Ceseña said the agency started out a probe after a company tied to Center of Fairs and Expositions Director Omar Landa won a contract.

The director said in response to the controversy that he is friend to many people.

National Action Party Council members called Director Landa to resign while the investigation is ongoing.

The comptroller declined to mention those involved in the probe.

The agency has already asked for RFP documents to other departments. Comptroller Ceseña said although any anomalies are detected the agency can only issue disciplinary actions, but not cancelling the contract.
