A man who was sought by the authorities for robbery and vehicle theft was caught by the police early Saturday after causing damages to a vehicle and a residence with a machete during a homicide attempt case.

The police said at 1:14 a.m. a man who was identified as Daniel Isidro, 34, was arrested at the Fraccionamiento Lagos del Sol area in southern Mexicali.

The suspect was reported by residents for allegedly causing damages to a door and the tire of a gray 2005 Honda Odyssey.

Upon arrival the police found the suspect while attempting to enter the house while the family was crying for help. The suspect allegedly threatened to kill the family. Police officers apprehended the suspect who according to the authorities was sought for robbery and vehicle theft.
