A bill that seeks to increase penalties on sexual harassment crimes has been introduced by a state lawmaker.
Assemblywoman Liliana Michel Sánchez introduced a proposal to reform an article of the Penal Code of Baja California to increase up to two thirds penalties in sexual harassment convictions in crimes committed against minors and disabled individuals.
The lawmaker said the legislation seeks to clearly set sexual harassment against children and youth. Last month a bill was enacted to improve enforcement of such crime, the lawmaker said.
